Pasted from another site, this is a quote by Mike Ottinger

Just to let everyone know i'm working on a race for Labor Day weekend that (could) have as much as $2,500 or more dollar purse! This will be for the LM Spec only. One class with triple A-Main. Each A-main will be 50 laps. The heats will be 4 min. We will have two lap qualifying to seat you in your heat. The format will be very similar to the WOO. More info coming as this comes together.
This will be at Family RC..............

The track has the right to determine what is legal.
You must go though tech before racing.
A car found illegal in post race tech is your falt and will be DQ'ed
Spec motors will be teched at random.
Top three A-Main cars and motors will be teched at big races.
All classes will be teched at random each week.

Any motor found illegal post race would be hit with a hammer!
No kidding! If you don't want to lose it, don't run it!

This is a work in progress for now. The rules will be in stone soon.

This sounds really interesting. You say LM Spec only and there are limits on who can run the class. Can you elaborate please?

Sprtsman Latemodel is for rookie's, once you win a few races,or you turn X amount of laps you will be asked to move to latemodel spec, its setup to keep cherry pickers out , and give everyone a chance to win

Latemodel Spec, is where most advanced racers will run if they dont want to run a sidedam, and anyone can enter this class but if the track see's you wrecking alot, they will ask you to move to Sportsman

Guys this race is not a definate yet. This is something that Mike Ottinger is working on and everything is not finalized yet. The rules package is not yet complete and the other variables are not set but as soon as everything is in place Mike or myself will post all of the details on all sites for everyone to see and in plenty of time so each person can plan for it.

No race not in concrete yet but still never too early to come out and get some practice in.

No im not doing it, I put a header under another post that it was Family RC and Mike Ottinger and Tim McNutt putting this race on, I have nothing to do with it, I was promoting Family RC more than anything else, as far as the other site, thats where its posted so thats were they'll have to go to see it.

VERY NICE> way to go s&a, you have killed a thread (site nazi). Jamie was only trying to help spread the word about this kick a$$ race and you had to jump in and police what you thought was right. GOOD JOB Jamie. I will be at the race when it happens, and I will go on to promote this race on other web sites where they are more respectfull and thankfull for racers like Ovaloldtimer. If your looking for me I will be on dirtoval.com
