These things are totally awesome. I picked up mine last night, but have not had the chance to run it yet. My friend got his earlier in the day and said it is the best RC car he has ever purchased. He said there is tons of steering and it drifts very easily by just cranking the wheel and whacking the throttle. He also said it was very controllable. I just need the rain to stop here so I can get mine outside. It's way bigger than it looks in any picture. Size does matter, at least in RC cars.
The 5T looks great!
Do you have a 5B also?? I'm thinking about getting a 5T a little later (I hope they make a kit version) to go with my 5B. I just love the thing! Big loud and fast!! Also minimal carb tuning!
Get that thing dirty!! Post some more pics!! Again, great job and some of us are jealous !!

Oh man, this thing is a riot! It has a ton of power. You have to roll into the throttle or it kicks the back end out and it gets loose when you are going fast. I had to stop because I was wrecking the grass. It shoots two rooster tails out the back when you jump on the throttle. It needs to dry up a little. I making a mess of the park lawn and the car. I made my own track in back yard, I hope it's big enough. It says 40 minutes to a tank at $3 a gallon. I can handle this. No more $40/gallon nitro for a while.
I never had the 5B, a friend has the 5B SS and drove my other buddies 5T. Says it handdles and turns way better than the buggy does. All you do is give it some throttle to rotate the car around. You can sit there and do doughnuts forever if you wanted.
Man this thing is tough! I had my first MAJOR crash and it didn't break. I hit a deep hole at full speed, car flew 15', endoed, and then barrel rolled another 4-5 times. I almost cried but the damn thing is perfect. I wish that was caught on video. That would have been a sales tool in itself. Going to try and get some racing video today.
Sounds like you are having a blast with that thing! A 5t will be in my future (tax return like last years 5Bss). I still hope they make a kit!! Meanwhile keep running the shit out of that 5t!! These Baja's can take some rough handeling and keep going!
enjoy!

I would love to make the jump to 1/5 scale and the 5t seems like an awesome truck. The problem is where to race one. Our big off road track in socal, SV raceway closed and it was the only track I am aware of that raced the 5bs. I am not much into bashing so would want to race it to justify the expense. It would be great to see a whole field of these things racing fender to fender like the Slashes!!
Well, it's NOT close but 1/5th scales are raced at every race day at Timberline Raceway in Osawatomie, KS (40 miles SW of the Kansas City Metro area).
AND, you're 100% right - there's NOTHING like seeing 6 to 8 of these big fellers' headed off into turn one and EVERYONE makes it through without incident!
I have a 5B and it is just so much better then any nitro you have ever driven. Fast even in box stock form, rugged, and just a ball. And for a big car is jumps very well...pretty realistic, the best RC car I own.
