I was a little bummed too. I have lots of Losi parts in bags but doesn't look like I can use them.
I am anxious to see one of these "up close and live".

Any racing reports on this chassis?

I don't think any have actually hit tracks yet. We just finished a DO at our local track and I hope to see one on it before winter hits.
I will report if it happens.

So how does the 1/10 slider compare to the Losi 1/10 dessert truck?
#21
No way to compare a purpose built dirt oval car to a off road truck. They both have shocks, tranny, and use a motor and battery. Otherwise no comparison. This is kinda like apples and oranges.

But has anyone seen it in action vs. the more expensive cars?

I've owned and raced a CW Sprinter in the past(run w/foams on an indoor hard pack clay) And, if you've owned a Custom Works sprint car or know anything about them, you'd understand the car was oringinally based off of buggy parts. Meaning, there really isn't anything that special about Custom Works Sprint cars, and it shouldn't take that much to make the slider competitive unless Losi was really stupid.
Anyway the question still stands, has anyone raced against a Custom Works sprinters? Would love to see one on an indoor dirt oval with some foams.

Ok, I didn't say it was going to be able to beat a CW Enforcer GBX. But really, winning is more driver than anything when it comes to dirt oval or any form of racing.

Work of art???? Really??? Not tring to flam here but,
Its a freaking associated with a flat carbon chassis! There isn't alot to it that I would consider overwealming...just the dirt oval market is small...face it and not too many companies have tried to enter it.
Custom works found a niche and stayed with it. They are the #1 oval but that really is due to lack of competetion in that market.
I love the CW Sprinter and had an intimidator...actually I am amazed AE never released a conversion chassis/shock tower combo for their buggies and cashed in.
