Default Scratch built 1/3 scale rc!!!!

Hello all: I am working on a large scale project that I would like to share with the rest of the world...

So far I have yet to take pics, but now that I am posting a thread I am going to have to get some quick huh???

So, it`s going to be about.....1/3 or 1/4 scale...completely out of stuff I had around the house. It will have a 21cc gas/oil engine, (a lil` bit underpowered) the chassis alone weights about 25lbs... I will measure the length of the chassis later...

I am 14 years old and was going to turn this chassis (old full size pettelcar)into a go-kart, but that idea was when I was an 85 pound 12 year old... I am too heavy, and lack a powerful enough engine for a gokart now...so rc is the next best thing!

I am temporarily looking for a giant servo to turn these monsterous wheels...and in the mean time, I decided to try to whip up a 3 wheel ATC type setup.

Hope everyone enjoys, and pics and more info will be coming!!!

I actually had it as a functional cordless 15mph electric go kart with a tread mill motor...I had a blast with it for about two days then my friend blew up the motor...

for a temporary solution you could use a £15 electric drill for steering. rig up an ESC on the steering channel, and use it to power the motor in the drill.

Just a thought on the servos. Have you considered dual steering servos. Hitec has an ultra torque servo that will give you 250 oz./in. Not too shabby. I hope to see some pics and a video soon. Good luck
