I don't know if this post is premature but I am going to put it out there. I race here in Lincoln Ne and am a member of the Midwest Racer's Orgination. We had our club meeting tonight and we all voted to agree to host the ROAR nationals.
Mark Z the club presidnt needs to talk to Andrew Mowery to iron out some details but if everything work outs between ROAR and MRO middle america might be the place to be!!
Dates and all that jazz still needs to be worked out.

that will be a 19hr drive (about 1200 miles from Maryland). Outch!!!!!
I checked last night and plane tickets are not that cheap either!!!!
We'll see, hopefully I can find a group of guys from MD that would like to drive up together, so that we can rent a car between us and split the gas and driving time, know that is more likely! Although, 19hr in a car will drive me crazy!!!!!

I think he thinks this is a April fools joke but it is not. Hopefully someone that can confirm this will come on let you guys know soon. I just thought from what I read that I would put it out that we would welcome you guys to have the Roar race here in Lincoln. Hopefully MarkZ (our club president) or Andrew Mowery will come on here and let you all know more info.

Well, I raced with Andrew tonite and he said it is NO JOKE Mark Z. is going to bid the 5th Scale Nats. This is awesome news. I raced one of the HOA races there last year and the facility is awesome. I think the track is large enough to run 5th scale on easily.
Lets all hope that this goes thru and we have a 2008 National 5th Scale race.
Its true guys. The bid will be sent off to ROAR by the end of the week.
We will let you know all the info as soon as things are finalized.
And, those who were checking airfares, fly into Omaha. That will be cheaper than Lincoln.
