well our track is a fairly small high bank clay.
What I did was change the stock rear tower with a xxxt buggy tower. (bolts right in)

kept the stock shocks with pink springs in the middle on the bottom and all the way out on top (this was really the big difference maker).

leaned both tires to the inside a bit. (I think this is just because of the high bank)

Battery to the rear

stock tower and shock on front. in the stock positions. black spring on right green on left.

again leaned both tires to the inside.

Proline striker2 all around with just some Customworks rear soft foam inserts.

ThunderT oval body.

I think I have tried every spring combination possible. And nothing really made much different in handling. But the moving of the shock mounting positions really did. I was really surprised at how much this affect things.

Well I just just installed the speedys oval kit this last weekend. And had to make some changes. I ended up at adjusting just like this with the the rears leaned in and the front out.
But after racing it like that last night, it only took 1 heat to change it. Another driver was watching and also seen it driving wierd. Got all 4 tires now leaning in slightly. and wayyy better.
As far as the Speedy's oval kit goes so far I'm not that impressed. MAybe our track is too rough to run these small shocks. I dont know. But its like drivin a 2x4 with wheels.
Any one else using this conversion kit? What color/brand of springs are you using?
I just took mine off of my TC3. maybe I need to adjust the oil. but I know I have the softest springs i can find in there.

Also, any idea on how to take the rear toe out of this? 0 degree hubs is not the answer.

I am using them right now. part # LOSA2112. and there is absolutely no change in the toe in or out. and I also have the 0 degree hubs. tried them both left and right. still no change in toe. (I almost think they had the wrong part in the bag because there is no difference to the stock one. except the new is a bit wider)

I just got back from racing a few minutes ago. I tonite I tried slightly longer shocks. I took some traxxas 4 tec shocks with the longer shaft installed instead of the TC3 shocks that i had on it.
I moved the rear shock mounts all the way out on the bottom and all the way in on top. (using the speedys oval conversion towers). I'm not sure what springs they are but they are the softest things I could find.
the front i kept in the middle on the bottom but moved the front out so they are straight up and down, with the traxxas 4tec white springs. 30wt oil on all 4.
Wow what a change! glued to the track. I dont think I have ever had a better handling car ever.

sure would like to hear some more on the rear toe.

wow i'm not sure why the toe doe's not change with hubs and pivot well u should keep some rear toe for forward bite and the top shock adjustment is more for side bite than ride highth but the fact your toe dont change is puzzling can you post pics of your rear (ha ha) from under/over and behind

Well I will be running an xxxt-cr for oval so we will see how I do
for summer time. Your piece looks like the standard pivot plate.
Take it out and mark the holes on paper and see if you can see the difference.
