Default New to racing, advice please!

I used to race on oval carpet about 12-15 years ago when I was just a kid. I'm started to get interested in it again as I just moved to the Allentown, PA area, and found there are a few tracks in the area. The problem is where to start....I'm thinking I want a pan car, but I don't want to spend an enormous amount of cash. I'm looking to spend 200-300 for everything. First is that possible and still have a decent fast car? Here is the track I'll most likely race at which is an oval carpet track:

As I haven't raced in a long time im positive I'll be starting in the Novice class:

Obviously I'd like to get the most bang for my buck here...Now to what I want...

I'd like to get a car that could be upgraded, as for the first 3-6 months I'll probably just learn about the car and race in the novice races just to get used to the handle of the car/s etc. After that I'd like to be able to upgrade to carbon fiber parts bigger motor etc....sooo...any and ALL suggestion are greatly appreciated. Thank in advance guys.

just watch the FS section here, and on a couple other sites. If you're interested just PM me and ill pass on those site addy's to you. Realistically, a whole pancar set up shouldnt be out of the picture for $300. it wont be top of the line material but its possible for sure. Just depends on if you want to run brushless, great batterys, and all that snazz.. quality, and age are a factor. There's stages of pancars just like everything else. I have a Custom Works Aggressor thats been Pro Built, and i LOVE it. It cost more than $300 but its a good car. You can get aggressors for 200 i believe, just gotta keep your eyes open. Hope that helps somewhat. Goodluck.

Default Ebay is the Way

For the best prices on things the place to shop on ebay. I recently bought a rolling chassis and a large amount of tires and extras for less that $120. The car was a RC12L4. All I had to add was my radio motor and esc.
