Mix Touring Cars with 4wd buggies?

Hey guys,

A dirt oval track opened in my town a few weeks back. Right now there isn't a huge crowd obviously, because they just opened.

They have a Touring Car class, where guys just throw dirt tires on touring cars. Only two guys showed up with TC's last week, which wasn't enough to run the class. I was curious what the opinions are, of letting 4wd 1/10 buggies race with them. I sold my TC right before i track opened, but have a Losi XXX-4 that i would run in the class.

Before i suggested the idea, i wanted to know if that would be extremely unbalanced, or if it would be reasonable.

Its a very hard, flat track, so the additional travel or whatever in suspension of the buggies might actually be a disadvantage if anything.

The TC is a 10th Scale 4WD chassis, fits the rules as far as length and width. It will save time, everybody gets to race their favorite car. There shouldn't be any beef, but, some whiners will find some unfair advantage to complain about!

...the most important thing with new tracks is to be 'inclusive'

Until classes grow and can be seperated - a lot of times you have to mix cars, classes and skill levels.

Hopefully the guys will be patient and work together and slowly the classes will grow and be able to be separated.

If one type proves to be much faster than the other - do things to slow one down or speed the other up to try to keep them running similar lap times.

how they gunna do that they both run on diffrent surfaces lol that would be hard
