IF this has already been posted or a thread has already been started for this car please point me in the right direction.
look at ofna 34316#
OFNA announced in-stock today the new 1/8 Dirt Oval chassis based off the newly updated GTP RTR kits. The chassis kit does not have the added expense of motor, radio, or body like buying another RTR kit and converting. But this is not a low cost stripped chassis either, this 4WD oval chassis kit includes a solid center spur gear drive, all ball bearing chassis, 15mm wheel rightside spacer setup, 13mm CNC alum. shocks, race proven 3 shoe clutch, exhaust system, pro air filter and special hard coated alum components. OFNA P/N #34316 @ Retail 299.95
I've got alot of customers saying the like the car esp. that it a rolling chassis rather than an RTR so they can put their choice of products in the car.
A buddy of mine has one and he uses it for on road. The chassis works great! It's just a buggy set up for on road. A lot of body roll. I do like the fact that you can get it as a roller. The quality of the chassis kit is pretty darn good. I just wish they would make it with the two speed.

I think several of us are going to get the GTPs for oval racing locally. But what makes this car dirt oval? Is it designed for oval, or is it an on-road design that is used for dirt oval?

the gtp d/o roller came about because some of the guys using ofna cars found out they discontinued one of the kits that guys were using to convert. there were no prebuilt chassis at that point. some people emailed them and asked if they would toss certain items together as a package and voila. they happened to listen and its worked out good so far. the d/o package is offset slightly, along with the single speed - d/o's require it. just like 8th scale off-road's boom its trickled over to the d/os and now this is the hot class currently with average joe.
2 of my friends bought one each within the last 2 weeks and had them out on the track last night tuning for this weekend. toss in the OS 21 and they're fast enough.
Well, I picked up one about three weeks ago. Mine is not set up for dirt oval. There were a few racing in the Run What you Brung class. Now that class is becoming a GTP/IGT/DM1 class. This medium is becoming the mid point were off road and on road guys can feel comfortable with this chassis.
