Wouldn't mind having everyone thoughts on this.
Those "many on this thread" (including me) didn't take into account a 2 belted 8th scale car.

I want to give you an update on this.
Yes, Serpent is also looking to make the car compatible with the TTB system, but the first car will be for "normal" electronics, which is extensively tested (by me ) and will do the job very well!

Wow!

With both options on tap, you can't go wrong with the 977e.
Waiting impatiently for availability.

What is a TTB system and it's advantages?

TTB is the brand name.
it is developed for on-road racing, where the other systems, are developed for off-road (althought some will do the job pretty well in on-road)

Thanks.. I fail to understand the real advantages, but I suppose I can relate to a system developed specifically for road courses.

Hey guys can someone point in the right direction I trying to convert a 1/8 nitro onroad (Rx8, 977 etc)to an electric. What's the simplest route?

You will need a motor mount, spur gear adapter and saddle bag type of battery trays. Look through this thread, you will see many examples. Some try to keep the batteries centrally located but the easiest route is to hang them off the sides of the chassis. It s not the best but it's easy and effective. Unless you are using a car that is supported with some sort of conversion, you will need to fabricate your own parts.

My 1/8th scale pan car prototype finally made it to the track!
Still working on some design changes but got tired of looking at an unfinished car so I finished what I have and got to drive it around.
Considering it has never been driven before, I was quite pleased with the initial outcome. Take a look at the pics and enjoy...

Hey guys really glad to see this thread active Do you think a Ko Propo RSx Power servo will do great in an 1/8 onroad brushless set up, 2 2s lipos one on each side of the chassis, on 6.0 volts- 6V 0.13sec/60 and 362.9 oz-in (26.3 Kg-cm ?
