Nice job guys!
Now let's see it on a track.

I don't mean to poopoo anybody's hard work but this thread is for 1/8th foam onroad. Let's try to stay focused.

Anybody can fit 10lbs of poo in a 15lb bag.
I'm just bustin balls...no ill intent.

Great looking product, I hope ofna sells a zillion.

I'd be nice to see it run on a nitro track.

Thats next, they just finished the car today. Its pretty sweet, it still uses the stock 2-speed tranny and a standard nitro clutch with the stock fiber brakes. Tekno RC makes the conversion. BTW, foam tc tires are optional and it is track proven in its nitro form.

This would be serious fun. It'd be nice to get the car as an empty roller with the conversion kit and an LMP or TC type body. Hint hint. I'm already considering a Hyper 9E for next summer.

Yeah, I'm aware of the foam option. I'm just stirring the pot.
It will in no way keep up with a purposely designed on-road race car though.
Trust me, I've been there and done that.

Like I said, nice job!

Serpent announced that they will release the first details of their new brushless powered 966 in the next few weeks.

Default Update

I just realized that I never updated the results of my race day with the E'volva last month.
It was a good day but quite HOT!
With the battery pack charged up the night before, I put the car on the track early in the day during practice. The traction was good but not great so I was not driving with a heavy finger. The Neu/Castle 2650 motor worked great and the power was smooth and fast. I managed to get a little over 9 minutes of run time with the SMC 5400mah 40c pack that I built the car around. (off the shelf)
I think that the speedo needs a little adjustment to the cutoff voltage because the pack was starting to puff a little but not too bad. I charged the pack again for the last qualifier in nitro and ran with the other cars in my heat. The traction was much better and I managed to come in second behind Harry Hananuchi. I don't know what the lap times were since I wasn't using a transponder but I was just a lap off of his pace. (which is where I usually am running nitro) The speed on the back straight was just a tad off because I wanted to run a shorter gear this time to drop temps and improve my run time.
I wanted to experiment with motor timing vs gearing to get the best combination for the track conditions. I only ran 5 minutes for the qualifier but the temps were improved overall and I think I'm on the right track. Perhaps a little more timing to get a little more top end down the straight and it should be perfect.

I thought that I'd note that I am in the process of updating Rich's eM3 to run the same configuration as my car and I should have some pictures posted in the next few weeks. It will include a new chassis, top deck, motor mount/brace, and mid belt pulley assembly.

Are you saying this regarding the 5 minute run?
That's how long the qualifier was not that I could only get 5 minutes.

If you use the quote feature we can understand the context of your comments.

My guess is he was referring to the use of the NITRO ENGINE and 2-speed.
