This thread is very cool , thank you all for you pics and info.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to split this thread in two new threads,
one for the foam race cars with rear solid axle suchas mrx4, evolva, etc
and another for off-road based conversions with rubber tires such as the inferno GT etc...
It just seems to me these are quite different and have different public...
hope it makes sense !
keep posting pictures !

the RX8 and steve nue 1515 motor powered our E-mugen to a win over the Kyosho driven by Scott at our TZGP. it was a battle of run time. Scott and Rich's car handeled a bit better but we had a bit more top speed and 1:30 more run time. working with Danny on a pack that will hopefully provide 10 min run time.

Yes, you ran longer - but, be honest, your car was no speed/handling match for our ballistic Empire eM3. Battery issues -okay, it was a puffed American Tourister. Next year - we'll have the whole works -speed and run time. The Mamba Stuff is bullet proof gang - the Castle Gang is doing great stuff. For Scott to be as quick with the electric speaks volumes on the throttle control of the Castle Gear.
By the way - TimeZone Rocks!!!!

yeah yeah Rich we will see next year. like I said your car worked better than ours, and once we put in the good motor(for run time) we lost a tad bit of speed. but a 14.5 to your 14.3 is pretty darn close, can't wait to run the 2010 8th Scale Electric Championships at the TZGP next year....
good luck this weekend......................

I'd love to be a part of the 2010 8th Scale Electric Championships next year...the only problem is I'll need a driver since I haven't even competed in a race yet! It's quite possible that by that time "Sneaky Pete's RC Parts" will have parts available that will allow more than just 3 cars to compete!
BTW, I will be doing further testing shortly that will, hopefully, ultimately allow a battery change mid-race in 10 seconds or less!

We got around 5 minutes, with a 40 C 4s 5500 mha pack, looks like we can get about 7500 to 8000mha with an optimized pack. Danny say's more mha possible if we went down to 28c cell's.

I finally got the body painted-still have to trim it out and wait for the paint to fully dry.( I used Krylon Fusion) All up weight is 89 oz. Don

Latest pics
Hi guys, I'm back...
I just thought I'd post some of the latest pictures of the E'volva.
I've made some changes to accommodate the larger, Neu motors.
I will be testing for runtime and working on the setup this weekend so I will post my findings next week.
Sorry if the pictures are a bit small.
