I have already started on a quick change solution for my chassis. I will most likely incorporate it in the next revision of the chassis plate.

The user can buy extra battery trays and have packs mounted and ready to use. There will be no plugs to fiddle with and no screws to remove.

Should be a 3-5 second change!

Just don't get me wrong....everything you mentioned I have seen and heard of, but for 1/8th nitro on road, I just don't see it and probably will not happen that way. If changing lipo is the only thing need to be figure out...you will see IFMAR 190mm on road a 1 hour main instead of triple A-main.

For me...I just want to see this conversion can run against nitro car for good 5-10 minutes...but to make it run an 1 hour main, I just don't see that is necessary, even with the lipo change, thats my opinion.

Default Brushless !/8 onroad Car

This started out as a GTP but now its more custom parts than original. This is a blast to drive. It has a Neu 1515/.5Y 4400KV on 3S with a Mamba Monster.I was gonna convert a Serpent but a GTP chassis was cheap.Either way I ended up spending alot finishing the car.I did put a D-Box on it and it handles great.Try it i realy like it.I have owned a PRP XR8 and it was hard to drive so i went this route.

That looks great, who cut the chassis for you?

I cut it myself with a 21tpi metalcutting jigsaw blade on my Bosch jigsaw and dremmal with a plunge router bit.The SSG Carbon was pricy though and hard to find.If you cut slowly it wont burn or seperate it.I have run into a wall with RC and wanted to start creating my own cars.

Yupp,
I already use a bottom loading tray so I will make a custom tray and change the chassis opening a little bit.

What kind of speeds are you reaching with this car? How much did you end up spending to convert?

I spent 120.00 for the 4mm carbonfiber.Thats alot in my book.ESC 135.00,Neu 205.00,Motor mount 35.00,Battery on ebay 175.00.Kinda got out of hand. Then the custom painted body 120.00.Havent clocked its speed yet but ya cant run it full out because ya run out of space. The D-box is fun though it drifts great with the foam tires. And foam tires are a must because the rubber stock tires balloon and rub the body. The CF Sheet measured 4x200x450mm so there was plenty of extra to make the MMM mount/rear chassis brace. The chassis is symetrical also.
