Default L4 Oval Carpet How to make faster

Ok I am racing spec class on a carpet oval track 4 cell 1600mAh battery as required and a trinity spec motor as required. It sure seems there are others racing the same car same battery and motor that are faster turning 5-6 more laps. What can I tweak to gain speed and remain legal. Can a spec motor be optimized? If so how. Last race I took 3rd over all but the other 2 guy constantly stomp everyone else inlaps and times..
Any helps appreciated

It's probably not the motor, or the battery. First you have to get your chassis set up and balanced for maximum efficiency, then the right rollout. Everything has to be clean and moving freely. When you get to that point - then you can worry about the motor and battery.

check our their cars. i found oval guys are pretty cool in that respect.

are you scrubbin any speed in the corners? are you guys running the same tires (size and colors)? are you running similar or same rollouts as the "fast" guys? are you driving their "lines" around the track?

5-6 laps is alot, which means your probably getting lapped yes? with no one on the track, how is your laptime? is it comparable?

hope that gives you a start..

see what the fast guys at your track are running. ask for help, most oval racers are VERY helpful.

im new myself (to oval), and i ask MANY questions, and everyone helps at the track =)

Red face go fast turn left ...repeat

what the track size ,what size are your tires ,is the track big and sweeping or small and tight in the cornors ,do you have to let off the gas to get thru the cornors ,do you run a bias set up on the tires in side tires smaller by .25 inch, i would ask a fellow racer and see if they can help you out as far as setup starting point and motor help ,
