If they turn out nice, I will..
"when ready" is the key word here as time is very limited.

I hope it will be soon.

Hi Mathijs, what's going on mate? You have been very quiet for a little while! Have you guys done any more meetings recently? Been looking on your website but no new pics or anything. Hope you're well mate, cheers!

We had 5 races this year.
We now have a regular turnout both in modified and stock (10.5).

I have swapped to 10.5 turns. It's more controllable and more close racing.
Cost are a lot lower 2.

The website wasn't updated for some time, it's about time we start on it again.

Very nice!!

We had 13 racers run at different times (8 at one event) this summer with the 10.5 / 2s lipos and should have a repeat this next summer. Need to start work on my new Darkside 200mm car, and yes it has a 235 converson as well. Will work with 1 or 2 cell lipos, so we'll see how it does on the carpet this winter.

We're going for 13.5 7.4volts 200mm for the carpet season.
I'll post pictures when my car is ready.

Let's see those pics mate! Went over to the local track this morning, cold, damp day here. Tried several differant types of tyres (including some very soft 'Damp' tyres). Also tried playing with the side link positions but I there was n't enough grip to really feel what the changes were doing to the chassis. Had a great time until the armature decided to let go and completly lock the motor up as it was travelling at full speed! Yep, new spur gear needed!!

Nice one mate. But now have some questions for you! First off, is that the 'new' Corally Pro10, but with the rear hubs from the F1 car? I had a though that you could maybe do that to make a GT10 car from the Pro10 chassis. Also, what is the ESC/motor combination and what gearing are you going to use it on? Lastly, you are obvioulsy running 7.4v LiPo, wereas I am going to use a 1 cell LiPo, what would you recommend for gearing a 10.5 brushless setup?

We had beautiful weather here today, really very sunny and warm. Had a great day over at our local asphalt track. Tried out lots of tyres. LiLac fronts with Pink rears were the best for today's conditions for sure. Car felt planted all the way around the track. The only problem was 2 motors completly died due to the heat here today, not so good!!

All the bes though,

Chris.

That is my outdoor car. The front end has 2 sets of mounting holes. Use the inner ones for a 190mm front end.

The rear axle is from a Corally F1 car. I had my hubs custom-made, but I have been told that in the meantime Corally has made some hubs that make your car exactly 200mm wide as well.

ESC is a GM Genius 120, motor is corally 13.5 sensorless.
Starting rollout will be around 53mm.

I havent run 1 cell, but for 2cell 10.5 outdoor starting rollout is 53m on an ESC without advanced timing program.
Maybe you should start around 50mm to be sure.
Some general advice: gear your stock brushless motor on temperature. Anything above 70 degrees Celcius is too hot and overgeared.

I finished the Kiwi body with a horrible paint job, so this will not be posted in my blog until I get a nice looking body...

If this is what you call a horrible paint job, I definetely don't want to miss what you call a good paintjob!
It looks very nice to me!

is the corally rear axle Metric (6mm) or imperial (6.3mm)?
I'm trying to locate hubs or an axle to fit in a Tamiya F1 but with Pro10 wheel fittings.
(trying to use an F1 as a wet weather car, but am limited on tyres, rubber only works when track is wet, not when it is damp or greasy)

The main part of a Corally axle is 7mm thick, but at the side of the diff it is thinned out to 6.3. It won't fit your F1.

I read of some guys in Germany fitting Pro10 wheels to Tamiya F1s.
Maybe you should check on this forum:

looks like all pro10 rear axles are imperial then (6.3mm in metric)

I knew I should have learnt German
Says something about an adaptor, but my translator is not translating properly as it is not a known word

thanks for the site info
