Looks like my CRC is going to see some carpet action, new track in town. Reverted back from 235 to 200mm setup. Any carpet setups or suggestions. My setup has only been run on asphalt.
Thanks to Joel Navarro (Radio Control Car Action Contributing Editor - www.rccaraction.com) for the video.
We ran a Pro10-mod exhibition class at the ETS-race in Apeldoorn this weekend. We had a lot of fun and did some good advertising for racing class.
You can find some pictures and some text on: http://ets.redrc.net/
So what electronics do you run with in the wet? I found out the hard way some escs that don't like splashes. Do you just bag the electronics?
Daniel

The TC tires worked, but Tamiya caps over soft foam works better.
I've got some Tamiya caps, do you still put a "V" in the foam before mounting them? How deep would you cut the "V" or does it depend on how much water there is?
Daniel

We are BACK!!! Sorry for the new eBay name but we sold the Bolink name and some of the inventory so we had to set up another eBay store. The full store will be set back up in the next few weeks. We will be running MANY auctions over the next couple weeks and also we will be sending out newsletters so add us to your Favorte seller so you can get them!! Thanks... Steve Rule of Big Daddy's Hobbies (use to be Bolink RC Cars)
Here's the quote you missed from them
"We still have LOTS of Bolink RC Car's Inventory and Body Molds..."
Worth poking around though - they have a bunch of somewhat obscure stuff like hubs that could be of use to many of our "homebrew" posters.z

I use brushed motors. I put my ESC and receiver in a watertight box. I made it so that only wires come in and out.
The servo and motor get a full duck-tape sealing treatment.
Batteries dont reallty mind the water.
Still, after a day's worth running, I have to clean out the motor. You can't keep water out of it 100%.
Sorry if this in the wrong thread but I can't find a 1/10 pan car oval only thread.
It's been a few years since I've run pan cars I basically need to know whos parts are interchangable KSG, Hyperdrive, Silva, IRS, AE, etc. They all seem to run the same basic front susp. with different top arm mounts. I see stuff from a bunch of aftermarket companies making stuff but they really don't say who's car they are for, like t-plates and rear pods. Have companies pretty much standardized all the mounting holes or what? Sorry guys hate to sound like a newbie, which I'm not, I just haven't kept up with the oval carpet stuff since my 10LSS days (95% aftermarket when done)
I now have a Silva X factor, I know it's not the lastest and greatest but my driving can carry the car where I run
Some links would be great, Thank you

There are many different oval forums over at HobbyTalk, versus the one "oval, large scale, and more" here on RCTech. I think you'll have much better luck finding what you're looking for on HobbyTalk, along with Manufacturers/Product Support forums over there as well.
Here is an Video of a Race held in Bamberg in Germany.
We have been Lucky with the weather that the Finals could be driven in dry conditions.
All other runs where held in wet conditions so this run was actually for most of us the first or second dry run on this track.
Please select HD quality if you have broadband connection.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that we are up to 12 racers running mostly 235 cars here in Colorado. Pretty varied group of cars from 235 conversions on the CRC and Darkside cars. A one off chassis for the CRC dubbed the "Wart Hogg", several older 10L's. Class is 2 cell lipo brushless 10.5motors. Our new track is Way Cool, at 190' x 85' that has been prepaired and painted so it even looks like a track. We have gone to VHT for traction as it is less cost than sugar water at this point.
If your in the Colorado area we run every Sunday.
I'll try and get some pictures up in the next week or two.
Right now they are all chasing my I-Fource 235 car, just like last year

The fastest guys are running 7T Delta wind motors what is similar to a 4T star wind. I for myself do run a 9T Delta what is something between a 4.5 and 5.5T star wound motor. This is on 7.4V 2S Lipo for all. For the rollout I canīt say anything now, just donīt have the numbers in my head. I think my gearing was a little on the low side, afterwards I think I should have used on or two teeth more.
Overall this was a larger track with a banked curve on the right side going into the main straight.
