I read the car can be built up as 230mm car. So that takes care of that problem.
The battery down the middle should work, but probably best on high traction tracks.

200mm doesn't thrill me either, but i am elated to see any new interest.. especially from such influential companies... word is we can expect atleast 2 more cars for this 200mm class in the near future...

the 200mm pan cars I think are well suited for GT type bodies (Corvette, Mustang, Viper, etc). I know there are some GTP bodies out there as well but I think this would be a fun GT class
