What is a good servo for a flat carpet oval and a really really good servo? and cost? Is it better to lay it doen or use the mounts?

Or for a little less weight

Both work well.

Hey Guys,
Check out this 70s pancar. It's front wheel drive.
I like the body.

Futaba 9550 hands down. You should use the mounts. I haven't seen many cars do well lately with it layed down.

BTW Which kit do you have?

Default Servo ?

Thanks, I will borrow a 9650 from my 12th scale and see how that works.

Anybody want to share a tip on a body and manufacturer? I run a Monte Carlo right now. Some folke here run dodge chargers, but it doesn't look right to me.

I'm assuming that you are planning on running oval, correct? I've been doing some testing with Eric Dimmick - Mr. Darkside and the Charger is a pretty neutral body but the THD (Protoform Toyota High Down force) has more turn in. Mind you I'm a rookie at oval, but thats how the body feels to me.

Default servo mouting advise

Hello, Do any of you guys know a fomula for finding the proppor sorvo mouting position on a pan car ? I am looking to find the perfect angle for the links. The sevo I just baught is smaller then the one I used to run and my first thought was to mount it as low as posible but I think it is ging to put the links at to much of an angle and add bump stear. If any body has any ideas on this I would apeaceate hearing them. I have my own ideas but would like to conferm them.

Thanks, AL

Generally, matching the angle of the upper a-arms with the steering ti-rods will eliminate the majority of the bump steer

It's a shame it's narrow, but that's nothing a wide rear axle and 2 carbon plates can't fix!
