Anyone have an approximate guess for rollout for 19turn (Komodo) for a track around 120x50?

Just looking for a safe number to start at and not blow the motor apart....lol.

This will be the first time I get to the track with my retro hpi/10l proten chassis.

Your track is selling the tires for full retail and than they wonder why we buy online. Lefthander, Windtunnel and RC4Less will have BSR's or comparable tires for considerably less. As for compound choices, oval is interesting in that there are many ways to get to the same point. Hard tires soft setup. Soft tires hard setup. I've run a different compound on each corner. A lot depends on what the car is doing and where it is doing it. I know it's not nice to mention other boards, but if you looking for oval setup information go over to Hobbytalk. That is where the oval racers congregate. You will learn everything you need to know about oval setup.

Start somewhere near 42mm/rev.
You will very probably have to gear up from there, but it's a safe number to start off from.

Thank you RobertW - do us a favor, use a normal font and normal color and, yeah, stick to RCTech or to HobbyTalk. It's rude to pimp another board.

BTW - RCTech is still the largest ground-only RC board out there (only two larger are more Airplane based)

Just thought you might like to know.

No big problem with that - we want people to find the info they need and this has never been much of an oval thread or forum really. There's some good oval info here but it's still 75% roadcourse pan car racers. Now about the giant blue fonts on the other hand...

Since he didn't mention track surface type, it's worth noting that if we're talking carpet, even for the same track size, that ratio will need to adjusted upward to compensate for the significant additional rolling resistance of the surface.

Most carpet ovals are using white rears with a combo on fronts. depends on how tight the track is and your driving style. our guys are using green left & double purple right. hope the info helps. If any of you are interested go to russellrc.com and check out the pics. from there cosmic racing!! RC cars racing in the dark! It was awesome!

Default New Corally 10th pancar

Corally is building a new 10th pancar.
Here are some pictures of the pre-production car.

So it's just another pan car with the AE front end, but they kept the heavy unsprung weight in that funky axle tube in the rear. . .

I thought the Corally front end was good?
