Thanks Mark, I bid on a few of the tires.

Wider is better, I can tell because I had an L3 (narrow) with the 3 shock set up, raced it all season. One day I crashed it and raced my sons L. It definatly was more stable in the corners. both cars had limited traction, but the wide car was much easier to drive.

This year I may be racing a "Road Kill 10" or wide pan toura IF there is enough weight on the rear for traction.

Parking Lot racing starts ONE WEEK from today!

I am also going to try 4 cell 19 turn in the pantoura. This should give it close to the same for and aft balance as the L2.5. The only way I will be sure is to drive it.

Get one quick. If Tim sets up the track this weekend I might stop by and work on setups with the pan at A-main. If you get one before the Rose City race on the 22nd you will not be disapointed. We can help with setup and I should have a nice supply of spare parts(not that you will need any). Also get the Associated 92 Nissan gtp body. Richard D. from a-main has one also but he had some weird f1 body for it.

Default BLue compound

Looking to decrease tire wear. The track is open pore asphalt and they use VHT. Last time I used a set of green fronts and they were history after six runs. I used a set of pinks for a couple of runs and wear seemed better. Would blues have a better wear than a pink? Would they even work? I don't mind spending the extra cash for pinks but would like a little better wear. I am also thinking about trying blue rears but this might be way too firm.

pink will wear less then blue but if you can get away with it you can use purple.

right now no if you want one cheaper you could go to SoCal but they might not be in stock or e-bay but then you might not find one. the best it get them from tower before they sell out.

A blue should wear very close to a pink but will have less bite and cost less. Purples will have very little wear but not much grip either. You might want to try something like a TRC Magenta.

Disclaimer: Some people have had good luck getting stuff very quickly dealing with SoCal for mail order, others have had a terrible time just getting the stuff shipped and have gotten awful service along the way. They're real hit-or-miss on the service.

Thanks Mark I'll try some Magenta's. For really low grip would Platnium or White be a better choice for the rear?

white rears will wear out very quickly outside, platinums will wear better

I have had good luck with running Platinums on 1/12th outside and will be getting some for my pan (I had been running pink rears)

White will give more grip than Platinum but they do wear quickly. You could also try Yellow rears if you’re talking really, really, really low bite. They wear fast but grip like nothing else.

all this color talk. Tom I was running 35 shore all the way around at the last race, only lost 2 mm all day, and did not have problem with traction. did have problem with my glue job on the rears for some reason. what a 35 shore, purple?
