Saturday night was fun! Did anyone save the time sheet from the main?

Those are new Orion 3300’s. They’re a General Powers cell rather than a Sanyo or Panasonic. Since they run 5-minute mod. over there, the slightly extra run time can come in handy.

I don’t have the timesheet..anyone else?

Actually, you may be on to something. Those are definitely the high-downforce Protoform Peugeot style bodies but I wonder if maybe Hot Bodies in Japan copied the mold and is now making them for themselves over there.

If they were Hot Bodies do you think you could get a hold of some of them?

If it’s Hot Bodies Japan doing it, I doubt it. The Corally Catalog from which I can get the Hot Bodies Toyota's only lists the Toyota and the Porsche.

Default Corally Update

Well, it looks like the Corally C10X will remain my primary car for now. Running the pinks all the way around freed the car up the point where it was fast and consistent by main event time. The pinks, which give the car about 30% less overall bite than our usual greens at SoCal, let the car pivot with the power on rather than just plow out wide like before.

The project now is to get the weight of the car down closer to an L2. Being a few ounces heavier doesn’t seem to have any significant affect on the top-end of the car but the acceleration could use some help. I’ve got a few more aluminum screws to put on and for where I can’t use those, I’m getting some titanium ones. Other than that though, I don’t really know of any other lightening part for the car.

So, if anyone out there knows of anyplace just about anywhere in the world that sells lightweight rear hubs for the C10X or anything of that sort, let me know.

Well the front suspension looks so similar, and so does the rear pod, the biggest difference is the chasis, and that it has no t-bar...

Actually, it looks a lot like the 1/10th car HPI used to sell in the US 5-6 years ago with less material on the chassis. The front end is an HPI part but it’s a definite knock-off of the AE front.

For a look at another Japan-only Pan Car, you can go here: http://www.tech-racing.co.jp/new_model.htm and see the Tech Racing one. Interestingly, they call it the “Slits 10 Pro Model”. Punchline not included…

And if you go here: http://www.academy.co.kr/rc/ca178/ca178e.html , you can see that they even have RTR Pan Cars overseas. Ones that even come with Protoform’s medium-downforce Peugeot body.

Taz dug that last link up a while ago.

I guess most single deck pan cars share a resemblance to a degree.

I think the front end of the HPI is a bit better then the AE, but it way to much weight. Where the top arm moves with the spring on the bottom of the kingpin. On the HPI the top and bottom arms more and the spring is father back.

The thing is that how HPI start making cars like their first one “The Super F1”. It was mostly just all there after market parts that they made for other cars and just put them together.

That why they look like the old 10L but what is different that I did like was how the make a different rear set up “Triple-Pivot rear suspension”, but if you want to run a T-bar you could too.

yea the front end is, but it seams smoother then the AE DS. Just wish HPI would get on the ball with pro 10 again.
