what type of car are they using for 1/8 scale oval racing is it like a on road
car or a off road buggy just wanting to know because we are starting
oval racing come next year an we are wanting to know what to start getting
to get ready for the next race season
thnks for any help and info
Here in cherryville N.C. we mostly use the Ofna GTP with the single speed diff. a couple just use a buggy, and lock up the center diff. Both work well. As far as 1/8th scale bodies...I have the molded lexan. they look like a larger version of the Custom Works Eldora...Pretty sweet.. They are 55.00 dollars plus shipping BEAMER2
Ofna makes premounted foams (get the yellow compound) And I get some super soft donuts from Phil Cooper, and mount and true myself. If I can help you any more, please ask!!! BEAMER2
hi beamer2 where are ya buying your tires and wheels at like what store name
online i'm really new to the oval seen i v been racing off road for 3 years
i dont know much about the oval stuff so if you could give me some place to
buy the 1/8 scale oval stuff thanks
and where could i get a tranny that would work in a 1/8 scale buggy because
the one i have it has the center diff in it ? again thanks a bunch
I got my Ofna wheels and tires from LHS, but have seen them on towerhobbies.com. As far as your diffs, try 100,000 (yes 100,000) in front , 7,000 in rear, and playdough in the center, Playdough will lock up the center, but it's not permenent down the road. Since your using a buggy, you might want to restrict some the shock travel. that's next topic, right now it's X Mas morn and I gotta go Later BEAMER
