Default 1/10th Stadium Oval

couldn't find a thread for this so i figured i would start one...

i need some setup help for my oval t4, suspension setups, springs, ect...

currently running a stock motor with 81/24 gearing blue springs up front, and green in the rear, i have the fronts completely to the top as the threaded shocks will let me, and the rears as tight as the threaded shocks will let me, same on the right and left, any suggestions for carpet oval, i run striker 2s all the way around with no foams. camber, toe, and shock setups would be great (springs, position, ride height, ect)

I tried to get a class going here in NH a few years ago but all i could get
was a couple of trucks. but it was still fun to race with a couple other people.
as far as set ups go we ran a stock rubber tire trat they came with you want to stiffin up the right side making the right rear the stiffest thats what i tried and it worked for me on a flat track as far as your truck goes. i would try a stiffer spring or heavier shock oil. i dont if this will help or send you in the wrong direction.

We run the stadium trucks on the oval here. I run a T4. I'm working on a different setup right now. I'm going to test it this weekend. I'll let you know if it works. I might have to make some small adjustments, but I'll post my settings later. The race line is 145ft. With the gearing you're running, does the motor get hot?

ive got an oval track 10mins from my house but I normally drive an hour to race offroad, the oval guys here are too inconsistent changing classes all the time.

some people like soft, some like stiff suspension. the local fast guy who is also a national fast guy told me silver springs all the way around on my T4 but I liked driving it better with blue - frt and green on the rear.
just keep the truck level so the suspension will work. if you need more steering at the end of the corner put a softer spring on the right front.
this is for a banked dirt oval so adjust accordingly.

I've been running an 84/24 on the oval with a Revenge of the Monster stock motor. I've run one of our fastest laps with that combo. The motor is staying pretty cool. It has plenty of torque coming out of the corners and great straight-away speed. I have 7mm of spacers in the shocks with 60wt in the front, and 40wt in the rear.
LF - green
RF - red
LR - blue
RR - blue

Did you race that setup? If so, how'd you do? Looks like a good setup.

qualified 3rd, had my pinion come off in the main because i changedback from 81/25 and didn't tighten my pinon down, DOH!

think it would be faster with a co27 in it, but im waiting for orion's new stock motor coming out first quarter 2007, just always had goodluck with my orion stuff, and im even running old orion 3300sp2s charged at 4 amps (trying to get an integy 16x9 so i can bump that charge rate up to 6amps and get alittle more power)

the key to a t4 is using xxxt rear rims, i qualifed 3rd out of two mains being the only one with strikers, i wonder how much foams would pick me up.

change frt and rear shock towers to run tc3 short shocks.. Factory Works makes thems.. run 90weight and run the truck as low as you go,,also try a sway bar frt and rear..very fast in corners.. I still run a 10T thats been coverted from Cheetah Racing back in 94 and it will still run with the best!!
