Default Losi DBXLE 2.0

All new DBXLE 2.0 on the way. Shame about the electronics, wish they went with a Max5 or rebranded one anyway. Can't say much more about the motor either

All the important stuff is here https://www.horizonhobby.com/product...y-p-los05020t1

It doesn't appear the 5th scale category is very popular on here. I race 8th scale because racing anything less frankly feels like a snooze fest. However, with bashing, 8th scale feels like a snooze fest to me and I'd like to go bigger & badder. So --- I'm going to go with this rig. Here's my question ---- are there any better forums with more enthusiasts on there for the DBXL-E's? I went to facebook but couldn't find much. I'm likely not looking in the right areas.

Appreciate any leads you all want to give. I just don't want to go posting my experience, progress, videos, etc... here if nobody gives a crap lol.

I used to love my DBXLe. With the right electronics it's a blast, but i've gone up a notch to the big bore petrol engines, and i think allot of 5th scalers are starting to do the same. They are crazy insane machines that's for sure

To your point about the electronics, I was wondering if it comes a bit underpowered. I'll have to put it on 8s and make a judgement call on that. I'm hoping run times are at least 10 to 15 minutes.... Will have to stack up9 on the Mah rating!

It's under powered that's for sure (for my liking anyway) good entry level 1/5 rig though, but it definitely needs a Max5 at least.
I was running a Max5 with a Leopard 58113 700kv on 8S with a 16T pinion. Plenty of power and plenty fast with 10min run times using 7400mah HV lipos. I could've got another 2-3 mins run time if i lowered the LVC, but i don't like running lipos down to 3.2V cutoff. After a run my lipos would be at 3.8v per cell

I'll most likely go ahead and burn up the 160 amp that comes with it and replace it with the Max5.

I was just watching a video on YouTube posted two days ago of a guy doing a speed test on the Losi 2.0. The braking looks like it sucked, but am I mistaken that you can add a second servo for mechanical brakes?

See, I thought it was the opposite - that the 2.0 you can, but not v1?

Let me check the YouTube video for it and see if I can find where they mention it. It's so annoying the stupid movie production they tried to do with this car. A total waste - tell me about all of the specs and show me clips of capabilities.

I knew I seen it somewhere...
The question is - is it worth getting a 2nd servo?

That for dual steering servos. It's hard to say if it's worth it, depends on what servos you plan on running.
