Default Current 'sport' engines

What are some good small block mills that either come with or can use a pull start? Just trying to find something along the lines of the O.S. .12/.15 cv line from back in the day and can only find higher end bump starts (which are nice but I'm not actually racing). Seems like the mid-range mills have almost vanished, looking for something similar in price to a O.S. 18tz but smaller if I can find any.

What are you putting it in? If you can go bump-start, I highly recommend doing so. It's so much easier, more reliable and motor choice is unlimited.

Well I can use pullstart or bump start in my cars, have a box set up still, just more used to the pull. I'm guessing strings are primarily a rtr engine thing now huh? What are some good current bump start 'sport' .12/.15 engines at around $200-$250 max then?

Looking at this one:

Nova 353 or Flash .12 PT/A are both about $249. Great quality & performance for a very affordable price.

That's the engine I posted in link above, was thinking with the pipe included and still at ~$200, that would be a good buy.

Currently trying to decide between the rb speed combo or spend more for the nova 353 and a pipe/header for it. Thanks for the input guys!

RB is a good engine, been using a RB T10rc this season and RBM3 murnan modified.
I do have a Nova 353 and it's well worth the $225 price at Amain.
A friend of mine used his 353 for 2 years now and made the A final at the GLC 2 years in a row with the same engine. Desoto racing says he has a flash for $250, go with that.
The flash is a fast and reliable engine and you can't go wrong
