Default WTF? AXE Rossi Catastrophic Engine Faliure (Pics)

What were the odds of this happening in my lifetime? I've never seen a motor self destruct where the crankshaft counterweight comes loose and destroys the engine. I've heard of connecting rods breaking and seized pistons, but not this what the heck? I was mad when I found out it wasn't what I thought had broke, but sadly this engine shouldn't of went out like this. I had this motor for over 2 years and plenty of fuel has gone through it. This Axe motor was supposed to last forever, but died a horrible fate. Does anything think I'll have any luck contacting AXE Rossi if any for repairs?

A moment of silence, *tear* a favorite pet she was ...

There isn't a motor on earth that is supposed to last forever. Hell with onroad motors, 3 or 4 gallons is pretty good.

I've actually seen this before, mainly when Nova and others first started using the slugs. Everyone seems to have it figured out now.

Well true forever is unrealistic, but surely it was a kick in head. I purchased the X2 version of this engine and it just isn't close to comparison to the power of the original Cobra I will have to search for another power plant

A friend of mine experienced the exact same failure on his Axe. I can't remember if it was a Cobra or a X2.... It happened few years ago. Too bad it was a brand new engine!!
