Os .12CV-X / AE .15X Pullstart!

Hey guys,

It's been a while since i have played with smaller engines like these and i have a few questions:)

Our club runs a class (Gas Tourers) that must be a .12 or .15 engine within .80hp, it can be wither pullstart or non pullstart with a min weight of 1750 (chassis weight) i think???

Anyway after doing a little research on the two above engines it appears as though you can no longer get the Os .12CV-X with a slide carb. On further research i descovered AE have the .15 engine (AE MDL NO: 2915) again that is rotary carb, but i can't find anywhere a HP rating for this engine????

Also are the AE engines made by Thunder Tiger? And what are they like???

I look forward to hearing from you all soon, if anyone can thing of another option it would be greatly appreciated as well:D

ae 15 v's cvx

both engines are fairly solid contenders for that class. i just changed from the ae 15 only last week. very solid motor and stable if you dont want to have to tune it too often. plenty of grunt especially with a 2 speed

hooked_on, I would suggest getting the O.S. 12 CV-X and check around at you LHS shops and see if you can purchase a slide carby seperate

Thanks guys...

My only concern is that if i purchased the AE .15X and it turns out to be alot quicker then the rest of the field i may not be allowed to run it again:(

The .12CV-X is safest bet and i know they are easy to tune, but i also like to be different as well:D
