Factory Racer,
The Rex RER is a powerhouse! Nice smooth power delivery and reliability is what you would expect from a top notch engine. The sleeve comes with some nice port work rite from the factory. I ran this engine for the second half of last years season and was very happy. 2 thumbs up.

REX RER is one of the best from Novarossi family. I did study this motor and found this the best suit to my requirements. I personaly use only REX. Untill my cranck is not ready, I will stay with RER.

It's a great deal for $300 Canadian. It's actually $362 Canadian over in the US. The motor is ABC construction and there is no specific optimum running temperature. The only thing to go by is a nice trail of smoke from the exhaust and never take it above 260 deg. F going by the average ambient temperature in Canada.

Ed, why is the RER better than the original Novarossi? Different crank timings? Please let us know more in detail.

I believe for new 3 port Novarossi engines, they are also pre-modded with fangs...

Besides, I'm pretty sure Ed is not referring to mods on the piston sleeve. That would be the last thing he'll look at.

Hi D.
We did tested crancs for rigidity and found that REX is the best from this point of view. I can't explane why, because all of them suppue to make at the same "OVEN", but they are different.

Hey D. You are right, mods on sleeve means nothing beside extra cost, I guess you saw it by yourself, ah?
Just extra cost to end user.
