4Racer,
What does the connecting rod look like? Looks like you streched the connecting rod and blew out the bushings from an overly lean condition and to high of an RPM. This led to the crank cracking. What does the rest of the engine look like? Either way it sucks!:flaming:

I know the RB X12 was notorious for this but on the V12, this is the first time.

I seen an x12 do that at the winternats, we thought he had no cluth play but really not sure why!! Also sometimesit could be defective material in the crank. Try to send it in for warrantee,

Hi Dieter.
It looks petty nasty. Sorry this happened to you. According to what I can see on broken area, it doesn't look like it was overhardened or to sfot, actualy looks pretty diccent.
I heard before that some of the RBs had this problem, but as Pter mentioned it was 11mm crank. It is only one thing I can sugest-try to make pic of broken part closer and put it here. May be I can see if there was initial crack during the manufacturing ( heat treating defect). It happens some times and it is really hard to control, even if use ultrasound QC.
I guess it just not lucky engine, get another cranck.
Edward
