Question for the engine guru's
If you have a motor that has a crankshaft with real small port openings would this motor tend to have alot of low end torque?

I'm certainly no guru, but the answer is most likely yes. Larger port/port openings tend to move the power curve up in the RPM range, assuming the intake/exhaust and port timing are correctly matched combination.
It's sorta like a full size race motor- increasing the lift/duration will kill the bottom end but make more power up top.
A motor with strong bottom end would be perfect for tight technical tracks assuming there's enough traction to handle it, and you have your gearing close.
