Hi
I have a new 5 port TZ i raced guy in my local track he has fw-05rr , so do i.
I am using the same gear ratio but he seems to pass me at the bottom end.
I think its the exaust because im using kyosho exaust.
Any suggestions of a good pipe.

i also have a 5 port. I am using OS 1040. I tried many different pipes:novarossi52606, skyline vr12, and sts outlaw. I like 1040 the best.

I'm running a .12TZ 5port in my GSX sprint car with a Dynamite dual chamber competition pipe. It really seems right for my application.

Everyone is talking about the OS 12tz 5-port. Let me tell you that the 3-port is nothing to take lightly. I switched to it after the two days of qualifying for the Paris Memorial Race and ran it in my main. My weapon of choice was the Mugen MTX-3. Man, I should have switched out motors sooner. The motor had more than enough low-end torque and enough top-end to hold most of the higher-end Nova and Sirio motors at bay. After running a 40 minute B-main, it came off the track at a cool 196 degrees!! And, I still could have squeezed some more power out of it. Word of note: the motor was box stock with no modifications!! I have always been a fan of OS motors but now I am sold on this one over the Nova, Picco, and Sirio-based motors. With the piston and sleeve around $70, rod for around $20, and power to hang with the big-dog motors, looks like OS will be the way to go for me.

196 C or 196 F, because 196 C is too much.

I'm running 15 % nitro and 18% lubrication, and im using p7 medium plug
I had the temprature reaching 124 C( rich mixture). Is it fine or not ? and what is the perfect temprature in running this TZr 5 port engine.

im pretty sure thats too hot, 120c is the temperature u want your motor to be running at after being tuned for max performance. try running a fuel with less oil (about 10%) and go from there.

Ok, but the engine manual say not to use with less than 18% of lubrication.

Worn inner bearing
Guys,
Need some help.
I've got a 5prt TZ with a worn inner bearing. Needs to be replaced coz there's too much freeplay and the crank is rubbing the case.
Any idea how to remove the bearing?
Can I send it back to OS? Anybody here from OS and can give me the South East Asian distributor? Please PM me...
Thanks in advance.
Cheers...

Secret, can you get 20% or 30% nitro? That's what I run. I would think that 15% wouldn't be enough; but I could be wrong. At 196F, that motor has not had a chance to move yet. 220F, 230F is OK as long as you see smoke coming out of the pipe while your racing. Also, the manual, for the 3 port, says to use the #6 turbo-plug but it's too hot in Texas for that, So I've been using the HPI #7's and my motor has been performing perfect. So I would think the #7 for a 5 port would be OK. I was in Dubai for awhile. It's just like Texas.
