Major rip off the bottem (normal for OS) but with smooth transiton to the top. As stated before , no problem keeping up with any other engines. I still feel that I was a little rich on the bottom , maybe an hour or so and that I could have taken out the shim I added and got a little more power. I also could have gone up a tooth on my 2nd gear pinion on my RRR , also could have gone down a tooth on my spur so I had plenty of top end to play with. As far as run time , in qualifying mode , I could run about 6 minutes . This is driving it extremely hard , in race mode , about 6 minutes 30 seconds. The engine would leave warm up at about 215 to 220 and return after the run at about 230-240 depending on the time of day. This engine now has about 2 gallons on it and is only getting better. Not bad for it's US debut . Great job OS and thanks.

By the way the Skyline pipe V12 is perfect for this engine . Does not lack anywhere. Do not hesitate to try it .
Sorry off topic - but that's GREAT info about the new OS mill. My question was about the RRR pinion gearing... Just got myself a 23T and running now 16/22T. Would it be too big of a spread if I ran a 16/23T or much better to do a 17/23T?

Thanks!

Well I went and changed it thinking that it was the problem , but to my suprise when I returned to the track it did the same thing. It was either my radio , that spot on the track (others had problems there) , or somebody turned on or switched to my channel. You still have that wheel wrench in your pocket.lol

It's excellent to hear that OS have now the goods to compete with the italian mills. Well done ATOMIC. I run the VZ-r ver II in my MRX3 and all I can say for the money these new breed of OS engines are well worth it.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Ok guys, the .12TZ-(P)-T3 OSMG1995 will be instock next month at the end of May. The new 1040TSC 52R and 52L one piece pipes will also be instock at the same time. I would like to say I am happy that you guys is giving OS some attention and reconigition about stepping up their devlopment on new race engines. When the engines are instock please give me you feedback on how you like this engine and how we can make it better, but I think it doesn't need to be touched.

$250 for the tz is not cheap, I tought that they were going to be on the 160-180 range, but as fas as I remember (and happened with the sirio evo 3) the initial price on the engines is approximate, when they get stock, prices go down. hopefully the tz will be 200 or lower!

Where are you getting that $250 price from?

I looked the other day and you can get it shipped from HK for around 200.

250 for the tz at tower hobbies, which is the us distributor, starting shipping on mid may, how much did the tr e spec cost over there cuz in the us was 160, from this price we could tell the price for the tz on the us.
