Can I use a 30% on a .12 and . 21 nitro onroad engine? Some said that 20% is the highest nitro percentage for an onroad engine. Don't have any idea sorry. Just planning on getting into onroad

Engines are factory set for 25% for .21 and 16% for .12

Doesn't mean you can't do things different, but since you're not into fuel stuff...just don't !

I make my own fuel for on road use with 8% oil: 5% synt + 3% castor. But if you ask a thousand people you'll get two thousand different blends !

Without a solid experience I'd discourage you to make your own fuel. Just buy a bottle of a good brand fuel, and let your knowledge start from there.

ciao

for the factory recommended, .12 using 16%,.21 using 25%. If you want to use 30% in your .12 engine, you need to add 0.3mm head shim.(0.1mm shim for 5% nitro increase)

My experience is in 1/8 on-road racing. The most important aspect IMO is adequate lubrication at high RPM. I use fuel with 25% nitro and at least 10% oil (preferably castor : synthetic ratio 6:4). I am currently using Cosmo 25% Racing Star.
