You can do it with no problems except that you will have to cut/mod the neck of the Nova carb to fit the ZX-12... Way back when Picco carbs were a piece of crap, alot of racers swap the picco carb out for a Nova... I believe Picco and Serpent worked on and corrected the carb tuning issues with the current line of motors... If you don't like the ZX-12 carb... Give the Nova or even a Sirio carb a try...

If using on 835 running Centax 2 clutch, do I need to place the 0.5mm shim before the collet? Am I suppose to use the black MEGA collet or the gold colored one from Nova Rossi type? Thanks again...

P.S...Zx15 needle setting same as Zx12?
should be same as zx12

Anyone running the Carlsen Modified GT5 ZX21? I plan to pick one up from a friend for cheap. I seen one at the track, but not sure if it was further modified. Is the same pipe offered with the powerpackage the best one for it?

A starting point for zx12 on 16% nitro would be -
0.4mm head shims
LSN 6 turns out- HSN 5 turns out- idle to suit

Hey guys, I got the chance to see a DSII in action this weekend and I am extremely impressed with it performance. The engines being ran at my track range from DSI(what I run) all the way to Murnan Mod 35 plus 21's and everything in between. That DSII revs up so fast and it just kept pulling. The only thing that was faster was a Murnan 35 plus 21 but it wasn't a blow out. $600 vs. $300 ........................... I'll be running a DSII at WinterNats 2007.

I keep telling people that, but probably because I'm from Europe, people at rc-tech don't really listen.....
Also the Ninja engines give nice affordable performance.......

There is 1 thing though I think, a DSII, will not last as long as a 35-21.... (for Ninja I really can tell)
BUT, also a Nova based engine can have a faillure, and then you are glad you saved some bucks.....

I look at it the same way. Most swear by JP, but then again people been kickin butt with the OS .12TZ, Mega ZX12 DSII, STS modded .12, etc. Not all the time some who try may be lucky, but some are just better skilled and have more luck than others.

There have been some issues with the Mega engines, that's something we should not forget, but I am convinced that most of these problems are related to user errors.....

The Mega engines need to be tuned a little different, and if you don't do that.......
They also need a little more maintenance, and if you don't do that......

just my 2 cents.....

Is the .12 DSII released yet? If so, how much is it?

Thanks MH7.

There goes the price advantage of the Mega engines.

I know that the Border is pretty expensive, but the DSII is now more expensive than Novarossi's new Plus12-3.
