Default edo S

The new S has slight intake and exhaust timing change, new cylinder material. Picco also changed the head insert and head design. They were happy with emx...so only minor changes made.

May be some one here can help me?
I have picco edo-mod engine, blue head, if i understand right 2012 year.
Very good engine, little wear, so i plan to use it. But i want to change bearings.
I see early post that said rear bearing is 12x21x5. Is it right for my engine?
And what dimension of front?

Default Nova Challenge LA

Team Picco had a very good weekend at the Novarossi Challenge held in LA.

Congrats to Tony Clark! He was very busy this weekend running two classes that brought him Two podium finishes!

Tony after running out of fuel early in the race, was able to come back and win GT by 5 laps over the field.

Tony was able to place 2nd in the 1/8 final, which saw 4 PICCO's complete and 1 Picco base engine in this final!

Mike Swauger TQ'd 1/8 and was leading the main before having to retire early.

Default question about picco 12 engine

Question1)

As a manual, shim add/remove 0.1mm, according nitro 10~30%,

my picco engine default head shim is 0.4mm (X Type-S), Edo-X is 0.6mm

But as a manual, the default head shim is 0.3mm.

what can i make standard head shim as 0.3mm? or 0.4mm?

Question2)

TYPE-S Engine got cylinder under shim(0.2mm)

I wonder about cylinder under shim's role

Question3) I want to get proper headshim setup as you used.

Edo-X: nitro 16% ->?, nitro 25% ->?

X Type-S: nitro 16% ->?, nitro 25% ->?

Thanks

Sorry, I had not been to forum.

Q1
correct head clearance (not quantity of shims but distance between piston to combustion chamber for 30% is 0,60mm
Shims may vary depending form production to production.

Q2
Shim under cylinder improves RPM. Less punch, remove it.

Q3
both Edo-X and "S" run with total head clearance 0,60mm measure with soldering wire of 1,00mm
