Default opions for mrx3 engine

Im looking for a engine for my new to me mrx-3 (ebay). I've never owned a 1/8 on road but am experienced with 1/8 off road. Ive really liked the rb ws7II for my kanai. just lookig for opinions of a engine in the $200-300 range.

Id go with either the Sirio .21Pro(maybe a tad over 300), or the O.S. VZ-R II (i think it is) which is 289.00 , tower has both so you can take a look online. They wont be the absolute fastest thing at the track, but still good motors.

Hi raptorrudolph,

I highly recommend the REX321P motor. And since you are
working on a budget, you may be able to get a good used one.
Please just make sure you get it from a realiable source. But if
for an additional amount, it is always best to get a new one and
have the life of the motor start from your hands.

Either way, that motor will make you happy....

Totally agree with Ron on the 321P

But if you are on a tight budget, try to look for the previous version. R1, either Nova Base RX21 WC R1 or Rex PR21 both are very reliable and fast motor, easy to tune and easy to maintain

Ron is right, the 321 is an awesome engine! I have 2 of the 421.
But if money is tight, I would jump all over that new OS engine coming out. Tower has it on their web site. We have a couple guys running them at our track, and they are VERY fast.

I'm running an S7 Circuit motor...

Runs very good for "sportsman class" but does lack some ponies. It seems I am getting womped by the end of the straight, a friend suggested that I try different gearing and tire diameters, which I'll be tryin next season. In the mean time it's boxed up and being sent to get moded.
