engine bearings ????

I'm thinking about putting some new bearings in an OS TG 12
I have a few issues.
1. This is a control engine for gas tourer class and must kept un modified
2. OEM bearing are steal and expensive
3. I can get good after market ceramic bearing cheaper then oem steel.
4. If i use none genuine steel bearings is that considered a modification.
5. It's a cheap engine so maybe I should just bin it!!

any thoughts guys.

So you think a cheaper ceramic bearing is better than an expensive steel one? Keep on dreaming....

Look arround at Bocabearings, TKO, Acer, Abec35 etc. They all have affordable bearings.

+1 to the above references.
A good quality steel bearing will outperform and outlast a crappy ceramic bearing.

Thank you gentelmen

Thank you gentlemen
I was in fact referring to TKO’s that I have been using in my other engines. When I say GOOD Ceramic Bearings.
What I’m saying is the bearings from OS are steel but I can buy TKO for less. Sorry I thought my explanation was clear.
I did get some feedback from someone that help me see the clarity of the rules regarding the control class we us these engines in.
I need to buy good steel bearings but they don't have to be OS brand.

Thank you Harry

All these brands do deliver steel also. If any kind of tuning is not alowed I would not go for ceramic, beside that with ceramic you probably will not notice a difference in performance.
