I don't know what Shimo had going on in the warm up before the start of the final, but I can tell you it was loud, sounded like the v-8 bmw f1 engine and it absolutely hauled @$$ kids.
I headed back to the track Sunday to take care of some business and upon arrival found the entire Japanese team testing O.S. engines. Again they were VERY fast according to the computer.
Shimo was running one with a blue head (i'm sure they ran out of black ones) that looked ok. After about three minutes of running he came into the pits, looked like a track side clutch adjustment and fattened her up about two hours. They sat a rocket down in pit lane when they where done with there little tune up. LIT-MISSLE
If Nova is not feeling the heat after the worlds then they are numb to the world...

Not trying to be a Richard but it's not about ports, it's about TIMING and AREA. Yes! the IDM stuff has been very impressive. I'm kicking tires on the IDM gimmik.
Another note about Sunday. Rody Rhoem was there also testing some tecno power stuff (think thats what he is calling his stuff) and it did not to shabby...

The last time we saw a price check was when the Mega and the Ninja came out. I don't know what the O.S. is gonna cost, but from what I have seen of the IDM/Picco's on the track Dare I say there is a less expensive alternative?
Think so....

Outside of the OS 2080 pipe, what other pipe works well with this engine?

Not sure what pipe that is JLock? Hara was the only one running a conventional "1 piece pipe", Shimo and the testing they were doing on Sunday a "new" pipe and header were being used. It uses a traditional exhaust gasket but once assembled you can't see it and the whole deal is held together with a big clip that sits down into a recess with nothing protuding outside of the coupler.

I assume you mean this pipe (the top for .21 engines) Nr. T-2080.
