Agreed. Never had a problem with the speeds. Change one main bearing a year ago...and still on the same rod...idles and runs hard.

I need some feedback on OS .21 XZ-R V2 (OSMG2042) ... its on my budget and it seems that, not being the last and top model right now, would be a good contender on track. My other alternative if i dont get this OS model, will be Novarossi ISON 7 ports Onroad .21

Thanks a lot for your feedback,
Just to piggy back on this, has anyone compared the V-II and the R2101 side by side? I know a lot has to do with clutch and carb setup, but looking to see if the V-II is less explosive in power delivery and would be a candidate for a classic 1:8 Pan car?

You want the RB Classico or Speed for pan car racing, they're the most progressive power delivery out of any on road engines you can buy, very good for pan cars.

Sorry not an OS, but the aforementioned engines are designed for this class and perform very well.

Thanks, but the Classico nor the Speed are available here in the US. Trying to see if the OS would have fit the bill.

Just want to ask if the 21 XZR VII (not the Speed) comes with DLC coated crankshaft. OS says its DLC link but when I browse the part no it is not. Which is correct?

fastest pipe for this motor is the 2015 nova hands down. a little bit less run time but most power. I use the nova short header for the 2015...

Ok thanks, anyhow today I fitted my XZR v2 with R21 p/s/c it fit really well, looking at the exhaust ports there are aligned perfectly. I did not try to start it though. So just wondering what makes it not compatible in an XZR v2 crankcase?

For starters it might look like the ports are matched up but they are not. Also 2101 was made as a long stroke so u need the crank from the 2101 or the piston does not travel far enuff up the sleeve then all the timings are off plus the boar of the sleeve on 2101 is much smaller so without the crank u have no power...
