Try it with the short header, but this motor is renowned to make run time, i have no troubles and none of the other Speed user at my club have run time trouble, and some of us are even using the 9mm restricter also. good luck with it.

I friend was kind enough to give me his new MMM OS speed 21XZ-R for a day and I made a short photo report.

Can anyone please post a good base setting for the LSN and the carb gab? I am having a hard time getting a stable idle tune. (+/- 1/4 of a turn).

Thanks.

Try LSN 5 and 1/2 turn out from closed position.
HSN 2 and 3/4 turn out from closed position.

This should be very slightly rich on the both ends.

I'm runnin 5 and 1/4 LSN and 2 ans 1/2 on HSN. No idling issues... Engine runs great.

The factory setting is:
-LSN: bolt head 0.5mm beyond flush
-HSN: 3 turns out from full close
-idle: 0.5mm, venture tube remove

This is very rich on bottom end, but you can't lean much on LSN it will easily to have lean bog. Try the Massive Mod 7 sec pinch test at cold engine to set the LSN and idle first, then lean the HSN hour by hour. U will notice the bottom end power is too much and the wheel spins lot. This time, richen the LSN until u have smooth launch and raise the idle.

Is the T-2080 pipe and manifolds EFRA approved? There is only printed FEMCA 2008 on it.

Kind regards; Jens

These are the exact pipes Shimo and Hara used at the Worlds, so the answer is yes.

Also on TopRC site you can find interesting prices.

You have to take away from the listed price the TAX (20%) for international shipping (shippings outside Europe) and the shipping costs are about 22$ to USA.

You get the O.S. SPEED Tuned 21XZ-R engine + shipping at about 380$. Then I don't know about the customs tax you guys pay in USA...

I don't know for this year yet, but in 2011 it was 100% NOT EFRA homologated, because we had to use other pipes at the EC.
