Hi Mate,

The 2080sc using the conventional 3 spring connection (between the manifold and pipe).

The 2080 uses the new OS "clamp" connection.

Besides this connection, both pipes are identical.

There is quiet a big jump in price between the 2080 and 2080sc.

Using Tower as a reference:

2080 = $169.99
2080sc = $199.99

$30 more for such a small change in the connection type only??

OS are cheap on engines, but difiently make it up in accessories

If you right, better get in quick and get the 2080...

2058 sirio pipe works also very good, comparing to the 2052 nova pipe, the sirio pipe makes the engine very aggressive on the bottom end and also LOUD...lol but 2052 with the short pipe makes the engine smooth, unfortunately with some of the testing i have done the with the nova pipe, only the short manifold works... picco pipes work well also...

yes the 2015 will work, but depending on track.i mentioned 2052 in my last post but i was meaning 2015, i used it on a fast flowing track with a short header from memory and the engine was smooth with good power., but sirio pipe will make the motor aggressive on the bottom.. 2052 i used on my local track and i really was not happy with it...

i dont use the extra 2mm shim that comes with the engine but i do add a extra 1mm, and i leave it in there.. that way you do not over compress the engine my opinion...

We never use additional shims, because the standard compression rate is OK for 25% nitro fuel. If you check the compression with solder you will read about 0,65mm which is a lot more than other engines use. But of course the squish is different etc. Sometimes when we need more punch we put 0,1mm less to get around 0,55mm.

We always use RP7 glow plug.

The best pipe for the SPEED is the original OS...tested all many times on many tracks, but the result is always the same.

Best regards,
Jernej

Does anyone know if the Nova Kangaroo crankcase will swap into the XZ-R? I have a cracked crankcase on my XZ-R due to it being dropped but the rest of it is in A1 condition and I have a couple of old Novarossi crankcases in the Frankenstein box.

Chances are mate the ports will not line up with case, so you gona have to measure the liner, if you want i have a ZX-R version 1 that is still running with heaps comp left in to get you out of trouble and just use the case if you want.. PM me if your keen to buy it..
