x-12 vs rrl3?
 

which oen hsould ig et for my serpent 710? theres a $35 difference. what sa good starter box powerfull enough to start it. do any of u no where to get the X12S3 Race for under $299?

the x-12 can be had for under $299 at nitrohouse. You have to call them to get that price. The website says $299, but if you call you should be able to get it for $279. Buy 2, and you will probably get them for less than that.

Just get a Mugen/Serpent starter...

Both are great engines, the RR is a little more explosive off the line than the X12, but the X12 pulls a lot harder the last half of the rev range. I have both and use the RR on short and meduim tracks, but the X12 is the king on a big track. ;)

i saw an x12 run for the first time saturday night, all i can say is, wow! what an engine. was pulling ns3's down the straight like it was nothing. would definatly consider it.

X-12 and NSR are the same engine. X-12 use a 11 fin head and NSR use the 9 fin head. Just chose your favorite color / price. The RR is another story.

X12 and NSR are not the same motor. for starters the X12 is ABC construction, the NSR is AAC.for anoyone who has also seen both motors go, the X12 is an absolute scearmer, alot faster then any NSR i have ever seen. i have heard that the X12 is based on the IDM .12 motor.

Anyone know where you get pick up an RR engine these days? Everywhere, I have looked, they are out of stock.

I have an NSR and it is not AAC. It is ABC with Microcast Piston, and it it ballistically fast!

i also own a NSR man.. they are a AAC construction.. which is why they last for onl a couple a litres of fuel then die (AAC has no durability)

Can you post pics of your AAC NSR motor? I have 2 NSR's and they are both ABC. I haven't heard of any AAC .12 size novarossi motors. At any rate, I think you are confused. I suggest you pull apart your motor and look at the outside of the sleeve. If it is brass colored (golden), it's obviously brass hence AB"rass"C.

My NSR is ABC so is my friend's NSR.

The life of engine is not depending on material of sleeve ( AAC state that AL piston/Al sleeve and C-chrome plating on sleeve), so basecaly in AAc motor piston still running on chrome, the same as ABC or BRB. AAC is much better construction due to it's phisical properties, but it has some issue, but beside that issue it last absolutly the same. Life of p/s set is only depending on chemistry of piston material and care of racer. AAC required more carefull handeling and more complecated in production.
BTW, I have never heard any NSR with AAC sets in it. Will be very interesting to see it-any pics? Please.
