On-Road Nitro Engine Pre-Heating
 

As some of you maybe aware of I produce a nitro engine preheater called the RC Sure-Start www.rcsurestart.com It been very well received by the off-road 1/8th nitro guys and im just expanding to meet the needs on on-road nitro engines.

I have two onroad casing in the field being tested for the last month one for 1/8th .21 engines and another for .12 1/10th engines and they have been working very well indeed so well in fact I am ready to realise the 1/8th unit for sale. We just use a hairdryer or a paint stripper :-)

Would be good if the entire unit was a little smaller, looks pretty giant to haul around with everything else!

Thanks for the reply chaps, I think the pictures make it look bigger than it is, the top picture doesn’t show the proper 1/10th lower casing the finished article for 1/10th wont be a tall or as wide as what’s pictured.

A hair dryer can of course be used but it doesn’t just heat the engine nor does it heat for long enough (without burning other items) to properly heat through the entire engine & of course not all tracks have power or people have generators, this works from a battery.

It comes with it own pouch / carry case so can be chucked in with the other items without risk of getting damaged.

Turns out that's my G4RS09 in the first pic.

I have to say I have just started using this product and am very impressed.
I have been using it on my off road 21 engines and am testing it on my 1/10 12 engines.

I have used the hairdyer method and can say this is easier and more effective. I simply pop it on, let it do its stuff for 5 minutes before my heat, put the car down and go from the gun.

It will definitely save me money on fuel and may even keep my motors sweeter for longer ... OK by me!

I reckon it will also be very useful with the tedious break in process.

The pics do make it look big but it is actually quite a compact unit that takes up little space in my pit box.

Hmmm, might consider getting one in the future then!

So, when will the .12 casing come along?

Can I ask here, how much it would be for a .12 unit shipped here to Melbourne, Australia?

Im hoping they will be around the same price as the current casings, there is more manufacturing costs as the standard size unit has to be spun to reduce its size but that shouldn’t add much.

So for a complete unit with .12 casing fitted & posted to Australia it will be around £52.

=) cant wait for the smaller .12 casing.

I can run this on a gelcell or lipo.

So how does it work? Is it like a big tyre warmer. First i thought it was like a Thermos bottle that you put boiling water into or buy a cup of coffee and fill her up!
What sort of temperature will it heat it up to?
