Default Ofna/Picco 12 R Engines, are they any good?

I was wondering about the quality and power of these motors. Companies like Nitrohouse sell them for less than $110.

Would this be better than the Infinity/RDLogic Motor?

They are good motors for the price, but they dont have the ponies of the newer motors, or even of the previuos gen nova based mototrs.

ALso IMO they wear faster than the other motors, I heard they use lower quality aluminum for the piston. Also the exhaust tip, where the header goes, is smaller than on novas. To cure this problem you have to get .15 big block gaskets.

The only other thing is the carburator. Its very finicky(sp?), I ended up using a nova carb and it worked much better.

For the monry though, I would get it.
