Is anybody here running a novarossi ns15s5?

i would like to know how it runs. do you think that it will be alittle to much to put in a serpent 710, mugen mtx3 etc meaning that its to fast?

I'm also interested in hearing people's opinions since I might consider one for my V One S. hehe.

No the power is the same with .12 nova and more expensive instead buy nsr12 s5 or sirio evo2

I got the RB V15 and I can really tell the difference between the V15 and my NS12S5. If you have two drivers (all things being equal) the driver with the 15 would win hands down. On another note the cost of the 15 is not really worth it because a better driver with a nice 12 will still blow your doors off (except on a long straight).

But I don't think you can go wrong with the NS12 or NS15...both are killer engines.

buy the new NSR12S3 with the new sleeve. Looks very nice....and probably not much more at all....

I see that the NRS12S5 is around $270, how much cheaper would the S3 be ?

i have a MODIFIED sirio evo II and i can tell you that the rb v-15 is as fast if not a little faster so the ns15 should be about the same. they are faster than .12 motors. some say they have to much power for 1/10 cars. also i dont want to take anything away from the sirio it really flies but it is at a disadvantage being that it is a .12 and not a .15

it seems to be about a $10 difference between the s3 and s5.

Im just wondering.
what do you guys think would win.

NS12S5 JP vs NS15S5?

Chewdogg 06-09-2004 05:31 AM

A stock nova 15 small block is faster than any 12. I remember rody saying the stock V15 was faster then the rody roem V12.

I can tell you from experience that you better have your car set up right because the power of a 15 small block in a 1/10 car is crazy.

15 in a 1/10 crazy ?? :sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky:
