What is up Henry. I am not speaking for Dennis , but that should be fine for break in. Just get the long header if you are going to race in above 80deg weather. I might be out this weekend at Revelation runnibg my new 1/8th scale.

the short motor seems to like the short header when the air density is average but if it gets hot I would switch to the long one. on the long rod motor the long header is a must all the time period. This we learned the hard way.

are the R3 and R5 the sts based motors ?
and i assume the ST motors are for offroad
and the R3XLRT is the new motor youve been working on for 2 years

What are the st motors based off of ?
what is the part # for the long header?
what motor would be better for medium to large tracks?
And what pipe is best for all these motors Turbo 2 ?

sorry for all the ?? just want to get it right!!!

Thanks

yes the r3srt/r5srt and st truck motors are based on loosely on sts components but dimensionally they are different, spec wise they are different. These are engines I have also been working on not just rebadged hardware.

the r3xlrt is a totally new motor and is still not at RD as of this writing. right now the guys are running r3srt's and proto r3xlrt's. they both work well on large tracks. I recomment the turbo II with the short header on the r3srt
and the long header on the r3xlrt's. Last I knew the new turbo II's were going to be boxed with both headers when the new shipment comes in.

60217 is the short header
60215 is the long one

check the front page of the rd site scroll down and you will find them

pricing on the srt's will be around 185.00 street as we promised. don't let the price fool you into thinking their low quality.

bc look at the g4 on the rd site and you will see the engine in one of those. They have not posted the engines yet but I expect them to do so shortly. There is also a picture of the engine on the RD logics mongoose thread.
