Hello All,

I'm new to buying engines. I'm currently running a stock Force .12 in my CD3 and looking for an upgrade. I run at the Toledo Track (oneeighthracers.com) and am looking for a good engine. I'm currently looking at the NS12 S3/A1. What are your opinions on this engine? I've been reading this thread but have not come to a definite conclusion.

Thanks for any information.

The NS12s3 is a great engine. It's the same format as the Mugen X12 which is also a great engine. They last long too. Take care if it and it will last many many gallons of fuel.

I had the chance to examine one upclose yesterday. I was speechless with all the new stuff that the engine has. They lowered the cg on the engine alot, so much, that you cannot remove the backplate if you dont move the piston upwards. The top of the piston is dish just like the new JP engines. The IFMAR crankshaft mods look awesome and I bet it will wake up the engine more. Unfortunely, there is no mods done to the sleeve other than the matching of the sleeve with the crankcase on the exhaust port. Also, the carb has a different angle than most Novarossis. I'll probably post an update once I see this baby running...

The R7 is a heavier duty rod, and it is interchangeable with the R6.

Darren Johnstone has won the first three nationals in the UK with the G4S and the 12-3. I think he likes it!

Hello All,

Just a quick question regarding the NSR12S3 motor, could anyone tell me what the factory carb settings are for the 3 needles?

Any help would be appreciated as my friend is fitting this carb to his O.S TZ as he needs the slide carb not rotary for his V1 RRR.

Thanks,
Brett
