Does anyone know if Novarossi's current short-stroke conrod (07005) will fit in an old Top 8-port motor calling for p/n 07000?

Default pipe question

What pipe do you use on these new type of engines, i heard 2052 is much faster than the other ones.

the 35 has far more power from low rpm then the plus 3C.

IMO the plus 3C is easyer to drive, but the fastest.
i've heard that the first 3C's had some problems with disintregrating pistons but it never occurd with my engines.

Anyone think the Plus 21-3C is a good buy, or would you go with say:

RB Xenon
321P

I'm looking for a nice backup motor that won't break the wallet. The other option I had was to still try the RB C3 p/s set though I'm not sure if it will be slower than my original setup or faster.

Bert,
Any new engine will serve it's purpose for you. From OS-Nova, they all rock. I've seen fast OS and slow Nova & vice versa. Don't get caught up in the rumor mill. There are many variables that affect a tune, and how an engine will perform.

1. make your choice fit within your personel budget.
2. what brands are supported by your LHS.
3. how experienced you are as a tuner.(some engines are harder to tune than others)

Good luck and if you have any ?'s, feel free.

Guys, i need to replace the main rear bearing on my R1WCS part # 16800 but could not find the bearings for it, so i was wondering, will the bearing on R1WC which is # 16000 will fit in R1WCS. i dont know if they're difference in size, they both basically R1 engines, only has different bearings part #. Maybe someone could help me out on this one before i buy it. And also will conrod #07007 will fit R1WCS too, i know the original part number is #07006.

Thanks

with all kinds of types...2015, 2006 and 2052.
If you got a 35 Plus 21 with a 2052 pipe, youve got a serious fast combo!

Jaime,

That's for the advice! Unfortunately the only choices will be now the RB C5, 35 Plus, 21 plus 3C, and maybe some of the Xenon engines will be in. For the price I'll probably ask them if they can order me the OS VZR try a new pipe and the 16T pinion for first gear.

well like jamie said go with what your pocket can hold when you get the engine . the os and the rb xenonare both uder $400 dollars so they are good back ups for that price .

I'll probably work with the OS for now...that or get that rebuild for $100.

Does anyone know the base setting for the 321p? I can't get mine to stop "pinging" when I come off the straight.

What do you mean by "pinging"?

What is the default settings for Novarossi Res RE12S5? Which tuned pipes are compatible with this engine?

It sounds lean but it's not. I've richen and leaned the top. Did the same with the low end also. Nothing is working. I'm not new to tuning at all. I have all brands of engines but I can't seem to get a handle on this one. I just need the base settings because I might be too far off the mark.
