anybody got experience with the newe Plus engines???
#1307
I'm pretty dissapointed with the previous LL series, some is ok some is not. But I'm looking forward for their new Plus series. Right now, their main problem is the engine's price coz looks like it raising every minute while others offer cheaper engines without losing quality.

This LS is my LaSt Nova until they wake-up, correct all the sh*t they're doing and improve the quality of materials and craftmanship. Nova in 2006 isn't the same Nova that were on 2002-2004... Looked to another direction and bought pair of Sirio Sti's until Ninja arrive or Nova improve and their prices go down, enough milking for me for sub-standard products.

Tech Fanatic
My N12LL3 was the WORST engine i have owned. It was slow compared to even my O.S. TZ let alone my Sirio EVO 3. Also, the engine wore out very quickly . My first and last Nova! To make it worse, the cost of a replacement piston and liner is nearly double that or a TZ!

You guys serious about the poor qualities in 2005 production ?? Or are you referring ONLY to some of new models like LL, LS ?
I have LL5 engine and it is working fine just like my NSR & FX5
I'm thinking to switch to OS TZ because the Novarossi P/S/R are very expensive and hard to find.

I'm feeling the same way too.
BTW, when do you guys normally throw away P/S/R and get new replacement ? After 3 gallon ?

I use to replace the rods during the 2nd~3rd gallon..........and the p/s set usually lasts about 5~6gallons at racing performance..........
I really feel sorry for the guys that had bad experience with nova engines, at least I've never seen a conrod half broken nor cracked crankshafts in a Nova based engine, which is a very common thing when you use other Italian brands
I must agree that Nova based engines (specially JP) are harder to be properly tuned, but are as much fast as the other brands and IMO much more reliable since you'll loose your engine by your own mistake and not by any kind of mechanical failure........

Novarossi is always good, but there are some people had trouble for their LS and LL series maybe because of bad batch? Anyway, the main reason is their price. At the beginning of this year they already raise the price, now from what I've heard they want to raise it again??? I think it's a bad move because GRP is coming with their engine and if it's better (and cheaper) then Nova will die in the near future.

Do you consider to carry the ninja engines this year ?

I'm sorry to hear about people's problems with their Nova's. I've had two with great luck MT12 and TN12S1. Which models and/or lines is everyone referring to?
