The taper on the OS plug is different than the Nova type. It has a little step so it'll seal differently. Because of that, you should stick to one of the types. I use OS exclusively because it has the P3 (super hot) which is very useful at times. But unfortunately, they are more $$$. Either one works fine.

What's the differences between a normal novarossi engine & the tuned version?

I know that with the Tuned N12LL3, the sleeve is exactly the same as the stock sleeve. The only difference is that the Tuned version has a modified crankshaft.

Default Novarossi C6S Glow Plug Substitute

Can anyone recommend a substitute for the Novarossi C6S plug? I would like to run an OS or McCoy plug (they are more available in my area). I will be using the plug in a Novarossi N528XSP engine. (This is the 3 port version of the 528).

Thanks,

My tuned N12LL3 has quite a bit of work done to the sleeve and the exhaust area. Also, I don't know but it feels like it was either run-in or the piston and sleeve were hand fitted. The reason I suspect this is it didn't have that gritty TDC stick that new Nova engines have. It felt a little smoother that normal. I don't know why, but that is what I felt and the only reason I have to explain it. I guess we could email novarossi and find out.

The Novarossi agent for my Sydney races at our track and his son (Australian 1/8th scale champion) is factory sponsored by Novarossi. The only difference according to him is the crank. This is also official word they got from the factory. You might get some spin doctoring if you email and ask them but the sleeve and port timing etc is the same. when it's time to rebuild, regardless of whether or not you have a "tuned" or a stock version, the part number for the Piston/Liner set is the same!!

My stock LL3 was the easiest motor i've ever had to break in. It hardly got stuck at TDC. It was also the quickest to wear out.

p.s. after trying a few different pipes, the Mugen pipe was by far the best! A little on the thirsty side though.

All I can tell you is I have had my engine apart, and there is a lot of work done to the sleeve and to the exhaust area of the case compared to a stock one....

Okay, I have try LL5, this is good engine, lot of torque. Bottom end power is there. For Mugen MTX3 prospec drivers..... I think you need to change 1 size bigger pinions because the engine peaked half way at long straight (Depending on your track).

I am looking for a 11 fin head for a turbo button X12. If someone has a extra one that they want to sell LMK.

I don't want to take up room on this thread so PM me with any info. Thanks
